Weather

The weather can and will have a profound effect on your hunting sometimes in a positive manner sometimes in a negative manner. During the fall weather in Wyoming can change from 90 degrees during the day to freezing at night. Roads may be muddy and to wet to travel in the morning and dry in the same afternoon. We will hunt in bad weather, but safety and ranch road rules will be the deciding factors about leaving camp. November in Wyoming can get very cold. Mule Deer hunting involves sitting in the dark for about an hour so be sure to bring clothing that will keep you warm. Prior to your hunt go to the internet site www.weather.com and search Newcastle WY. Checking out the long range forecast will help you prepare for your hunt. No extra days will be awarded or refunds given to lost hunting opportunity or season closures. Transportation

Plan on arriving midday the day before your hunt start date. For air transportation fly into Rapid City, South Dakota is the closest airport to our location. We suggest you rent a vehicle as most hunters fill early and there are many beautiful sights to see in the Black Hills. We are located just 25 miles from Deadwood, South Dakota and only an hour from Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments. Devil’s Tower is only 70 miles from our lodge. Round trip transportation is available from the airport at $200.00 per person or $400 for groups of 4 or more.
