Welcome to Dampier Hunting Lodge located in the beautiful Black Hills of Wyoming. We are located 23 miles North of Newcastle, Wyoming and 28 miles from Deadwood, South Dakota. We are located in a quite valley surrounded by the wonderful pines of the Black Hills. Our lodge overlooks a meadow with a small creek known as Shoulder Creek running through the middle. We have deer that come to the meadow almost every evening and morning to feed. It’s a breathtaking sight. The followin g is some additional information regarding the lodge.
Inside the main lodge we have a beautiful and restful area with a fireplace where you can relax and unwind. There is a TV area if you wish to catch up on the lastest news or sporting events. The kitchen area will seat 25 comfortably but we also have other setting available.

The following is a description of the lodging that is available.
The large cabin on the hill above the lodge has 2 queen beds and 2 bunk beds. It has its own shower/bathroom, refrigerator, sink, table and chairs and a lovely view of the valley below.
The small cabin on the hill consists of a full size bed with a couch, rocking chair, table and chairs, refrigerator and sink. This cabin does have its own bathroom/shower facility. Again the view from this cabin is wonderful.

The lodge consists of 5 private rooms with queen size beds with their own showers and bathrooms. There are 2 shower/bathrooms for overflow guests on the main floor.

The 2nd floor of the lodge has 2 rooms which contain queen beds. There is a bunk room that has 4 bunk beds for a sleeping capacity of 8. There are 2 bathrooms on this floor with showers. The third floor of the lodge is one big room with 8 single beds with a bathroom but no shower. ( a shower is being installed in the winter of 2007.
The basement of the lodge consists of 4 bedrooms with 2 twin beds in each. There are two more twin beds in the main area. There is a bathroom with a shower. You can pass some time playing pool or air hockey if you wish.

We have a bunk room just outside the lodge which consists of 3 bunk beds that will sleep 6 people. It is right next door to the women’s and men’s shower rooms. We have 5 sleep cabins. Cabin #1 consists of 2 twin beds. Cabin # 2, #3, #4 & #5 all have a full size bed and a bunk bed to sleep 3 or 4. These cabins have heat but no air conditioning.
- For those of you who would like to camp, Dampier also has 6 camping spots with 20 amp electrical and water hookups near the lodge and 6 spots with 30 and 50 amp electrical and water hookups near our entrance. There is a dump station for your use.
Towels and bedding are in all of the rooms and cabins. Breakfast is also provided with your stay.
We have a new facility coming this spring that will have a 50’ by 60’ conference and meeting area along with several new rooms. There will be 4 private rooms with 2 queen beds in each with full bathroom facilities. Two private suites which will have 1 king bed with adjoining setting areas that will overlook the meadow and hill. We are really looking forward to this facility.
We hope this provides you with some additional information regarding Dampier Hunting Lodge. We do specialize in our hunting but it is a great place year round as well. Hunting, camping, snow mobiling, site seeing, weddings, family reunions or just getting a way for a while, we offer a relaxing and enjoyable environment for all.
Lodging rate (does not include tax or credit card fees)
November 20th thru April 1st
$65.00 per person per night (includes breakfast and dinner , breakfast is served from 7am to 9 am, dinner at 6:30pm)
$70.00 per person per night for private rooms (includes breakfast and dinner, breakfast is served from 7am to 9am and dinner at 6:30 pm)
April 2nd through September 30th (exceptions apply during Sturgis Motorcycle Rally)
$65.00 per night for private rooms
$50.00 per night for basement rooms (sleeps 2)
$65.00 per night for the small cabin on the hill
$90.00 per night for the large cabin on the hill
$35.00 per night for the sleep cabins
$90.00 per night for bunk rooms and the bunk house. (beds are available in the bunk rooms for $10.00 per night if private rooms are rented.
$15.00 per person per night for tenting which includes the use of the shower houses
$25.00 per night for campsites
Breakfast is $8.00 per person and is served from 7 am to 9 am. This includes coffee, juice and a hot breakfast.
Dinner is $15.00 per person and is served at 6:30 pm. (there must be at least 10 people signed up for dinner to be served, there will be a menu posted as to what will be served that evening)
Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (Rally week and the week before and the week after)
$60.00 per person per day for all room, cabins and bunks includes breakfast
$15.00 per person per day for tenting which includes the use of the shower house (towels are provided)
$25.00 per day for campsites (electrical and water)
Breakfast is $8.00 per person and is served from 7am to 9 pm. Supper is $15.00 per person and is served at 7:00 pm.
Family reunions and other large gatherings are based on the number of people that will be in the party and what meals are to be served. It will be based on a per person basis.
Persons staying in the private rooms, cabins and bunk areas will start at $65.00 per person for lodging. The sleeping cabins will start at $20.00 per person for lodging. Camping and tenting charges will remain the same at $25.00 per night for camping and $15.00 per night for tents.
